“Better to donate than accumulate…”

Why do local homeless women and school girls need your donation of bras and underpants?

pic1-300pxwBecause they simply cannot afford them. Homeless women/girls first give up the things that are “invisible” such as underwear. And since bras are personal items, many women never think of donating them. Perfectly good and usable bras end up being thrown out, instead of being donated. Over the last 4 years we have visited many shelters and public schools in Massachusetts where women/girls had no bras and underwear and no way to purchase them. Nurses at public schools across Massachusetts reach out to us for donations of not only menstrual care, but also underwear  – you can’t use a pad if you have no underwear.

Teens with no access to necesities, to avoid embarrassment and bullying, often miss school. This is common local issue.
