Every month, women in 63% of MA cities and towns receive support from Dignity Matters
Every part of Massachusetts is affected by period poverty. There are people in your community struggling to afford menstrual care.
Dignity Matters provides free menstrual care to 16,500 people every month, and we do it through a network of 175 nonprofit partners across the state. From Springfield to Hyannis, Haverhill to Fall River, and everywhere in between, these shelters, schools, food pantries, and clinics – and the women they support – can count on us every month.
Each orange dot represents a community where people receive free menstrual care and undergarments from Dignity Matters. Click here to see a full list of our partners.
By working with partners that already support the people we serve, in their communities, we remove the biggest barriers to reliable access to menstrual care. And most importantly, our model and our partnerships help us center the dignity of every person we support:
We provide the menstrual care and undergarments that work for each person – and with help from our donor and volunteers, we make sure our partners have those items available every month.
Our partners know these families, have earned their trust, and can advocate for them. No one has to face the embarrassment of explaining their needs to a stranger.
The people we support don’t have to travel to us each month. We work with our partners and volunteers to make free menstrual care accessible right in their neighborhoods.
Our community makes it possible: every item we distribute is donated by you or purchased with your financial support. Please continue to donate, volunteer, and spread the word to help women and girls live with dignity every month!
