Working Together to Spread Dignity and Hope in 2025
In 2025, you helped Dignity Matters spread more dignity and hope to women and families struggling across Massachusetts. Thanks to your support, 18,000 women and girls now manage their periods safely each month. Every item they receive is donated by you or purchased with your support, and each conveys an important message: your dignity matters.

From January to November 2025, your support made it possible for us to add 13 new partners to reach women in communities that did not have reliable access to menstrual care. We now help 864 more women every month than we did a year ago.
We’ve now joined forces with Springfield Public Schools, The Home for Little Wanderers, Catholic Charities of Worcester, Uncommon Threads, and Bunker Hill Community College. Check out the map below for a full list of partners added in 2025 and all the communities we currently support.

Our partners share daily that the need in their communities is greater than ever. And that’s not surprising, given how costs in MA have skyrocketed since 2023: on average, rent for a 3-bedroom apartment is up $150/month, groceries for a family of 4 are up $50/month, and utilities (like heat, water and basic phone service) are up $200/month.
For families already stretching every dollar, that means basics like menstrual care are out of reach each month. At Falmouth Service Center, where food and housing insecurity are daily realities, offering clients reliable access to menstrual products is something they’ve never been able to do before partnering with Dignity Matters. “We’re so grateful to have your help to address a need that is so often overlooked,” says Brian Dugan, Director of Warehouse Logistics & Operations.

A box of menstrual pads or a well-fitting bra means a day of learning at school, or a shift at work or a job interview that women can approach with confidence. It’s a young mother that can focus on caring for her children because her own basic needs are met. Your support for Dignity Matters makes that possible.
For 2026, our focus is on sustaining this growth and continuing to chip away at the impact of period poverty across Massachusetts. We want to ensure that every family supported by our partners has reliable access to free menstrual care and undergarments; and with your help, we will continue to help these women and their communities thrive.
